There is nothing more classic than white. Well, maybe black. A black sports car or black cocktail dress. But for the sake of this post think the traditional white wedding dress. Classic white wedding cake. Timeless white bouquet. There is nothing as ageless.
Over the years, I have created many white bouquets, and each one is a study in texture and classic lines, creating a perfect silhouette that compliments the bride on her wedding day. There are times, however, when a bride walks in my door, and she can be undecided about whether she wants and all white bouquet or lots of colors to match the bridesmaids’ bouquets. In those instances of indecision, I like to advise the choice of white because of its ability to transcend time.
One of my go-to flowers for this kind of bouquet is a hydrangea. They are one of my favorite flowers because they are fluffy and the bloom is so large. Each bloom is more expensive than a typical rose or carnation; however, they make up for that in their size.
Other favorites include ranunculus, roses, calla lilies and spray roses.
Really the combinations of white flowers are endless.
