Over the years, I have had many assistants that helped me design wedding bouquets and help make my life so much more comfortable at The Bridal Garden, my wedding floral design business I have owned for 18 years. I affectionately call it my third child. You see, I REALLY only have two girls. If I am adding to my list of children with my two girls, my business, I would keep going. Sterling, pictured above, would be a welcome addition to my line up. In this post, I show you how I designed her spring wedding bouquet.
She came to me during high school. With all her energy and smiles, she was a constant delight that flitted from project to project I assigned to her. Anytime I ever trained a new recruit in the flower arts, if they couldn’t make a bow, I knew it was going to be an uphill climb when learning the mechanics. Sterling took to it like a bird learning to fly.
I got to see her kicking high in line on the dance squad in high school, and continue to grow up all the way through college. When she went away to school, I was sad when she wasn’t available every Saturday morning to help me load up for a full Saturday out delivering weddings. I missed not seeing her smiling face.
Before long she started talking about SOME guy. So when she called me up and asked to set up a consultation so that we could discuss wedding flowers because she was getting married, I couldn’t help but be ecstatic for her.
Seeded eucalyptus, roses, ranunculus, and hydrangeas make this bouquet perfect. During our consultation, she showed me her decor ideas, and I instantly knew these flower choices would make a dazzling finish. Look at those colors together!
See the link below to see a video of me making the full bouquet.
Sterling, I wish you all the happiness you deserve in your new life with Jeremy. I know that laughter and dreams are yours to claim for the future.
May your days be filled with kisses.

I am so glad you gave us a picture that labeled the name of each flower. That was very helpful.
Your assistant seemed like a great helper. I wish her every success!
Great post!
